Last night saw the global launch of the Nike Lunar Force 1, part of a new generation of Air Force 1s designed to reflect and drive forward the legacy of an urban classic that is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary.
For launch, Rosie Lee furnished Nike’s 1948 store in Shoreditch with a series of all-white installations showing the inspiration and cultural heritage behind the shoe. This included a giant lunar rocket, a 30th anniversary photo gallery and a giant neon installation referencing the pivot point on the shoe's sole. Check out 1948's website for more imagery.
The launch campaign will be extended to a host of other exclusive London sneaker retailers on Friday including Foot Locker, Size? and Foot Patrol.
