Rosie Lee are exhibiting a set of contemporary artworks at this year's Somerset Art Weeks Festival at the Silk Mill venue in Frome.
Somersets Art Week Festival 2015 showcases a broad-ranging programme of contemporary visual arts and craft, featuring group shows, new commissions, projects and events in more than 110 locations across the county, involving more than 350 artists.
Our piece ‘Migration’ is a study of urban wildlife and the progression of human disturbances in the darwinist law and order. We created a triptych displayed as A0 light boxes. An unnatural staged room with its distorted graphics and vivid colour plays with an idea of a new world where animals no longer have identities. The hunter and the hunted roam together in a surreal space, retired from their natural instincts and intuitions. ‘Songs from the Land’ exhibition at the Silk Mill is open for viewing up until the 18th October 2015.
