EA asked us to create assets for a PR campaign that expressed the personality of the game Burnout 3. Since the point of the game is to ram your opponents off the road we decided to have some fun…

To demonstrate the energy and chaos of the game, we developed the idea of a real car frozen in time as it crashes into the ground. To realise this, we purchased and de-branded an actual car before working with a film effects specialist to realistically damage it. 

The car was deployed at various game and race events around the UK, with in-game music blaring from the car stereo.

For an alternative-style press and marketing pack we wrote and designed the journal of an imaginary insurance investigator hired to blow the lid on the illegal racing. With polaroids, game cheats and spoof advertising, it gradually reveals him becoming addicted to the adrenaline-fuelled racing himself.
